OES2018 and dynamic DHS updates from DHCP

Hi,

after an upgrade OES2015SP1 -> OES2018 the dynamic update of the DNS-DB
does not run ...

And the details of a dhcp-range are empty, too.

Does somebody know where to start the investigations?

Bernd

Have you seen this?

I have checked this, but in my case the novell-named and the DHCP are
running w/o problems. But the DNS is not updated from the DHCP when DHCP
is assigning a Address to a host.

Hi Bernd,

I'm sorry I misread your OP.

I actually have this same issue on my OES2015 SP1 server and couldn't
find a solution although I didn't spend too much time looking. I only
have a half dozen devices so my workaround was to use DHCP to assign
specific IP addresses and I manually setup the DNS.

I'll have a look at it again. At least you know now that one other
server has experienced this issue. 😉

Good to know!
I will check my other installations about this issue.

Thx,

Bernd
