OpenSSH dissapointment - need a remote exec idea

Now I'm really bummed. Come to find out the OpenSSH port doesn't do the one
little thing I need it to; let me auth using public key. Crap - The one
thing I need it for is exactly that, and its not happening.

I coded up an 'expect/TCL' script, but the goofy NetWare console has to be
left at the system prompt.

I need to remotely execute a command on a netware box - why is that so
impossible to do?

I've never tried looking at the authentication options for ssh.

you have got some options:
1: drop a linux box in the network, set up ssh as you want on the linux box
and authenticate through the linux box.

2: use remote manager (https://server:8009), however, I'd rather not use
that over the internet.

3: use afreecon (adremsoft.co.uk), works only if you've authenticated on
the tree; maybe using bordermanager VPN?

Its not so much impossible, but there are options. The "toolbox.nlm"
utility has an option to launch files on remote NetWare boxes. 'trun' as I
understand it. It can launch NLMs and NCFs. You may have to download it
off of filefinder, but it works with NW65SP3 at least and as far back as
newer patch-levels of NW5.1.
