Portal not working

We upgrade several of our netware servers 6.0 sp 5 to 6.5 sp5. After
upgrading we used Portal Storage Manager to replace the old servers with a
new servers. Everything went okay. Everything loaded, users are able to
login, printers are printing, the backup are working but I don't know what
to do to make Portal to work. For the servers that we only upgraded the
Operating System to 6.5 the Portal works but not for the Servers that we
used the Portal Storage Manager to replace the old server. I think is IP
related because when I try to use Console One (Portal) from that server is
putting 0.0.0.0 as the IP address follow by Port 8008. Any idea? Thank
you.

What happens when you browse to http://ip-address:8008 ?
Have you verified that httpstk.nlm is loaded ?

address 0.0.0.0 means it's default address. So what you see is correct.

Re: Portal not working

It says that the Page cannot be display. If I type https://IP-address:8009
I get the certificate but after that I also get the same message. Tomorrow
I will check if we are loading httpstk.nlm.

Check if this is in the autoexec.ncf:

load nile.nlm
load httpstk.nlm /SSL /keyfile:"SSL CertificateIP"
LOAD PORTAL.NLM
LOAD NDSIMON.NLM

Re: Portal not working

Yes, we have that in the autoexec.ncf and also we have the httpstk.nlm
loaded. It looks like we are missing something but I don't know what.

Re: Portal not working

Where can I see the bind IP address used by httpstk?

Re: Portal not working

I checked and the ports are there. I don't understand why I get the
certificate and after that I get the message "Page cannot be Displayed". To
me it looks like I need to change something or add something but I don't
know what. I might need to call Novell but if you know something else that
I can check, could you please let me know?. Thank you.

Re: Portal not working

I am also having trouble with getting Novell Remote Manager PORTAL to
load after NW65SP5 was installed. Portlock Storage Manager was not used
on this server.

I have tried uninstalling the product and reinstalling it. Failed.
I have downloaded NW65SP5 again and expanded it with my virus scanner
disabled
I flagged all of SYS:SYSTEM as SHRW
I reinstalled NW65SP5. Failed.

It is interesting that the error below is different from AUTOEXEC.NCF to
command line

I'm stuck. Any help is appreciated.

I'd say try reinstalling it. Get the overlay product cd of the sp level
you are currenlty on and do startx | novell | install | remove it first
and then install it again.

See if that fixes it. If not, open an incident.

Re: Portal not working

I unloaded it and uninstalling the product and reinstalling it but I have
the same problem. It's after using the Portlock to replace the old server
with the new server. It works in the old server but not in the new one.
Any other idea? Thank you again.
