Problems installing OES sp2 into an existing tree

Hi,

I am having trouble installing a OESsp2 server into our existing edir
8.7.3 tree.

The server install went ok and it starts fine.

When I go to configure Edirectory I complete all the steps and it then
errors out with the following

cant connect to edirectory via ldap.

I can't seem to get this to work.

This is the sles9 oes install.

Thanks

Re: Problems installing OES sp2 into an existing tree

Lance,

I am not absolutely sure about eDir 8.7.3, but I think it should work.
A frequent problem with LDAP is encryption: By default, clear text authentication isn't allowed. So either allow it on your existing LDAP server or, better, provide the OES Linux with a certificate.

Uwe,

Thanks for the response.

How would I go about providing the certificate for the oes server?

Thanks again
