Problems with OS X and NW 6.5 sp4a AHHHHHHHHH!

First a rant - WHY ISN'T THERE A NATIVE NETWARE CLIENT FOR MACS?????

OK, This used to work until I did a clean rebuild of my SBS 6.5 Server
applying SP4a (before I was at sp3). In my studio, I have a single MAC
(running Panther 10.3.9). I don't need full eDirectory integration, I just
want to mount a share or two, and dump and retrieve files to/from the
server. So I don't need the complicated LDAP setup or the $100+ 3rd party
clients (see abouve rant). Here's the problem...

I can't get past the authentication part. Using Finder/Go/Connect to
Server, I select my NW box, but one of two things happen; If I setup
simple password with the eDirectory passsword, It immeadiatly comes back
with "unknown user, wrong password, or bad password. See your system
Administrator". If I remove the simple password, a box pops up where it
actually tries to connect to my server, but then fails with a "wrong
password error".

I've been pulling my hair out for day's over this. I've been thru the NFAP
setup instructions a gazillion times (both in the Netware 6.5
Administrators Guide and the on-line .pdf file).

I REALLY need some direction...

If you load AFPTCP with the cleartext option can you get in?

Also, did you add the contexts you'd like to authenticate from to the
sys:/etc/ctxs.cfg file?

Re: Problems with OS X and NW 6.5 sp4a AHHHHHHHHH!

Get this...

I had a brain drizzel: I moved the user to the same container the server
object is in and...

IT WORKED! I was able to connect and browse the shares I set up. So, why
isn't the context search working? What's also strange is if I entered the
distinguished name in the user name field it still would not connect.

Oh, also... Do you have any Aliases in another context for the users that
can't authenticate? If the context search finds the alias first, you'll have
problems getting in.
