Have you tried in your host file adding the IP address of the master
replica and tree name, IP address and work station name and make sure
that this is the primary connection. Worked for me.

Well, the IP addresses of the backup server and the workstation are in
the hosts file on both the server and the PC running the manager. The
server running ArcServe IS the master replica server. How would I put
the tree name in my hosts file? I don't quite understand?

After having a long talk with CA they came up with putting

IP Address tree name

eg

10 .xxx.xxx.xxx mytree

They could not tell me how it works, call centre reading off a script.

Hope it helps.

ps I love Arcserve it keeps me busy all day long.

Well, I didn't have a chance to try that one! but I loaded the latest
TCP/IP patch and the winsock update for NW6.5 this weekend, and my
Arcserve manager is now functioning normally again. Go figure.
