Reassigning a NW65 NSS volume to a new OES2 server

Scenario:
Reinstalling server from NW 6.5 SP7 to OES2
Want to keep a NSS volume in a local RAID0 unharmed, including eDir file rights

Details:
We're about to reinstall a NW 6.5 SP7 server to OES2.
In addition to the SYS volume, this server has a separate local NSS volume in the RAID,
storing home directories, files and applications for the users.
If possible, we want to keep this volume including its file rights,
and reassign it to the new OES2 server object.

Question:
Is it possible to reinstall only the SYS-partition of the RAID0 to OES2,
leaving the other NSS-partition unharmed, and then reassign that NSS partition
to the new server object, while keeping the trustees/filerights?

Re: Reassigning a NW65 NSS volume to a new OES2 server

Is the radi configured as just one logical disk or do you have separate logical disks for sys and for the remainder?
If it is just one disk, what you plabe to do will probably be extremely difficult if not impossible.

Marcel, and if the scenario is that the NSS pool is on separate external SCSI array?
Will this be just to plug into new Suse OES box?

Thanks

Re: Reassigning a NW65 NSS volume to a new OES2 server

Does this external array just hold NSS partition(s) ir other stuff as
well? If it is NSS only, it should mostly be just a matter of plugging it
in. There is actually a TID somewhere that explains the procedure in more
detail.
