Rights not being passed down from eDirectory

I have a costumer that is using NetWare 6.0 with nss there are three
volumes on this server that is in a SAN where the rights are not being
passed down from eDirectory when changes are made in Console one they
receive no error. When doing the same operation in explorer the admin
user receives the message that it doesn’t have necessary rights. When
looking at properties in child directories the NetWare rights flip does
not show.
Making it even stranger not every directory on the same nss volume is
having this problem.

Thanks
Hans

Re: Rights not being passed down from eDirectory

Hi Hans,

This looks like a file corruption issue, as file trustees are stored on the
volume, not in eDir.
What SP level and NSS patch level are you on ?

>I have a costumer..

Really. As in tailor ?
Sorry I couldn't stop myself 🙂
