SAN recommendation

I am running NW 5.1 and would like to implementation SAN to increase disk
storage space. Does any one have any recommendation for doing so on either
NW 5.1 or NW 6.5.

Thanks

Re: SAN recommendation

Nothing from experience in a production environment, but I'm looking
very closely at iSCSI over a second, GbE, interface.

The NetWare implementation (both target and initiator) seems very
good.

....works in the lab, at least. 🙂

Re: SAN recommendation

if you want a "real" SAN, get XIOTECH unless you have lots of exrta
money you just have no idea what to do with. Then get EMC.

If XIOTECH is still too pricey, iSCSI will fit the bill nicely.

we are using several Dell/EMC SANs - nice and easy to use - we have a
CX300 and 2 CX500s

That would be the Clariion line, eh? They seem to be better suited to
small shops than does the Symmetrix line, but then when you do need big
shop features I guess you have to go for the big iron.
