SLP Stops???

Double posted sorry, I thought it fit better here (after the fact of course)

I have a NetWare 6.5SP3 (nowSP4) server that has 2 NICS, one public and one
private. the public one seems to stop broadcasting via SLP. if I add the
information to my hosts file I can still login, but the server cannot be
found by other means on the public side. FTP, and web services still work
from that inter face, and the private NIC works with all including SLP. I
have tried SP4, and the TCPIP update to no avail. this may not be the right
area to post in, but it was about the closest I could find. any ideas.
