Slowness at login screen

When the login screen comes up, I type in the username, hit tab and then there is a long delay before the cursor appears on the password line. I only seem to have this happening on one PC. Does anyone know what would cause this?

Re: Slowness at login screen

Sounds like "LDAP Contextless Login" is enabled on that PC.

When you Hit the Tab key with that Enabled, it is doing an LDAP lookup for
matching CNs to ensure your context is set properly.

Re: Slowness at login screen

On the LDAP Contextless Login tab, Enable LDAP Contextless Login is not checked. Could it still be something to do with LDAP contextless login?

Re: Slowness at login screen

Doubt it.

I would try uninstalling the Novell Client, Rebooting, and Reinstalling it
clean.
