Source server after migration

I think I understand what goes on with the new server when using the
Migration wizard, but what about the original? What happens to that server.

Is it's DS removed? If I needed it, would I have to reinstall it to
a different tree?

Re: Source server after migration

It is no longer part of your tree.

You have a couple of choices:
Edit the Autoexec.ncf changing the server name/ip and reboot.

Now you could add it to a new tree
If you want to put it into the production tree, create a temp OU and
install DS on the server putting the server into the new ou.
