Strange DNS message on server boot.

When my server boots I see this: (nw 6.5 sp3)

DNS resolving name for "xx.xx.xx.xx" --> server.mcip.com
DNS resolving name for 255.255.255.255 --> DNS name not available

*Correct server IP is listed above not x's.

Now we have nothing that is 255.255.255.255 on our network and I checked
all the netware settings and everything is correct nothing relating to
this 255.255.255.255 address. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Reggie

Re: Strange DNS message on server boot.

That's a broadcast address. Is this causing any sort of problem for you?
Has it always happened, or only since what change or update?

Re: Strange DNS message on server boot.

I am not sure when it happened, I am thinking after upgrading to 6.5 sp3,
but I am not 100% sure. I am not sure if it is causing anyh problems or
not. At times our ZEN server acts strange. Can I clean this up?

Re: Strange DNS message on server boot.

No, and I don't believe it is causing you any problem. You could unload
and reload DNS manually just to check, my guess is you won't see those
messages then.

The messages aren't from named.nlm, but from HTTPStk.nlm.
