Stuck at launch ifolder management

Installed ifolder 3 on sles9sp1 (Novell Suse OES).

Following the documentation I am now able to connect to the ifolder server
in iManager under iFolder management however there does not seem to be a
specific ifolderserver object in the tree. When I supply the ncp server
name the interface complains with error 601, object not found.

Is the install supposed to create a specific ifolderserver object that did
not get created during my install? Or am I missing something else?

Any insight would be appreciated.

I'm not sure exactly what you've done or are trying to do, but--
After installation of iFolder did you in fact install the iFolder 3 plugin
into iManager, then restart Apache? If yes, where are you trying to supply
the ncp server name? That shouldn't be necessary. If all's well, you should
be able to
- login to iManager (2.5!),
- in Roles and Tasks, select Novell iFolder 3 (not iFolder Management;
that's for version 2)
- connect to the iFolder 3 system using the credentials as set up during
install.

Hope this helps!

Re: Stuck at launch ifolder management

Hi Bert,

Thank you that was helpfull to realize that I was trying to access the
ifolder 2 management interface.

I am still stuck however installing the ifolder 3 npm in imanager. in the
ifolder 3 admin pdf on page 48 point 4 it says to simply go into imanager,
roles, install modules, and pick up the imanager module and install. The
only module I found was in /var/opt/novell/imanager/nps/packages, but I
guess that is for IF2.

So the ifolder install did not provide the ifolder 3 npm? reinstall
ifolder? A quick search in the knowledgebase did not come up with anything,
nor did a find on the server find any other npm's

Again any insite would be much appreciated!
Kris

Kris,

After install I *could* pick up the management module in iManager; I only
had to select to install it. Going
into /var/opt/novell/iManager/nps/packages, there's an iFolder3.npm file.
If you check YaST, how many iFolder3 related packages do you see? They
should be:
ifolder3-enterprise
ifolder3-java-admin
ifolder3-web
ifolder3-welcome

It's the ifolde3-java-admin that you may have to (re)install.

Good luck!
