The RTVSCAN.NLM nlm has registered a file system hook

The server had an abend. After shutdown and power on the server, I reviewed
the abend and error logs. The abend log has nothing but the error log has
registered a file system hook with the RTVSCAN.NLM.

The server is an HP Proliant ML150G2, NSBS 6.5 with Symantec Corporate
Edition 9.0 installed.

How can I avoid another abend?

A. Madrid

That message is informational. It is good that it is there.

Re: The RTVSCAN.NLM nlm has registered a file system hook

Michael:

1- What does the message mean?

2- The abend coincided with the "informational message". There must be a
relation.

Re: The RTVSCAN.NLM nlm has registered a file system hook

1. it means what it says - your AV app has registered a file system
hook; obviously it needs this to do virus scans

2. no, there doesn't

Please post the *complete* entry of "Abend 0", "Abend 1" or "Break 1"
from sys:system/abend.log. If there is no Abend 0/1, pls Set auto
restart after abend =0 to maximise the chance that the server can write
the first abend to the log next time. Thank you.
