Transfer ID Error on eDirectory Precheck

I am preparing to move a server from NetWare 6.5 to OES 2015 SP1 and have run into this error during the eDirectory Precheck phase:

Error: Failed to get source server hostname in fully qualified domain name form.

In the log messages below, this is the message:

ServerIDSwap:Precheck:Failed to resolve Source Server Host Name from IP Address. Correct the name resolution and re-run the precheck step.

I can ping the correct hostname, any idea what I am missing here?

As the error states, when you ping the IP address, you msut get the
proper hostname back as result.

I strongly suggest to just put both proper hostnames into both servers
/etc/hosts file and be done with it. The miggui tool in infinitely picky
about it, and I've seen it fail with the same error even when everything
in DNS was 100% ok.

Re: Transfer ID Error on eDirectory Precheck

Do I need to also add, somehow, the reverse lookup as well?

No, that works "on it's own" when hosts is used. Just make sure you put
the FQDN and the shortname in there.
