Tree or server not found after using ACU to update to 4.91

I've been using the ACU software to update my Windows XP SP1 machines to
client 4.91. So far, all but two have upgraded ok. After the PC reboots
from doing the upgrade, the user gets a message that the Tree or Server
cannot be found when trying to login, even though it was working fine before
the update. If I remove the Tree and Context information and put the
servers IP address in the Server box, they can login fine. Thoughts?

Thanks.

Sounds like an SLP problem. Is there a NW server on the same network
segment as these workstations? Did you configure the Service Location in
the unattend.txt file?

Thanks for replying. The answer is 'yes' to both of your questions.

Re: Tree or server not found after using ACU to update to 4.91

Matt,

Masking any info. you might consider a security hazard please post the
results of SLPINFO /ALL run from the command-prompt on the affected Windows
workstation.

Any additional components of the client installed?

Was Windows installed from scratch, a custom image, or an OEM image?
Event Viewer logs showing anything unusual?

Have you tried applying Update A on client 4.91?...

Production patches for 4.91

Beta patches for 4.91 (beta can be better in some cases than production)
http://support.novell.com/filefinder/20609/beta.html

You might also consider testing beta SP1.

Re: Tree or server not found after using ACU to update to 4.91

Sorry I haven't posted back sooner. I've had to move a bunch of people
around.

I will do the SLPINFO /ALL command as soon as I get a chance and post back.

The only thing that was different in this update was I added NDPS.

Windows was installed from scratch on all the PC's. I've now had this
problem on my 5 Windows 2000 PC's and only 1 XP SP2 machine.

I have not tried applying the update yet.
