Update Catalogs, Selection Verification

Good Morning,

I have been trying to verify what catalogs are to be selected for software updates on SLES 10.3/OES2 sp2 Systems.

There are 3 for each product:

SLES10-SP3-Pool, ...Updates, and ...Online
OES2-SP2-Pool, ...Updates, and ...Online

and the three: SLES10-SP3-Debuginfo-Pool, ...Updates, and ...Online

By Default, at least on my system, only Updates and Pool were selected.

Should I have the "Online" selected also ?

Can someone explain what the Debuginfo selections are used for ?

Thank you,

Tony

(...)
'Updates' contains the patches that released after the SP.
'Online' contains the files from the GM (Gold Master), which means the
shipped release.
'Pool' is a Catalog which merge 'Online' and 'Patches' to the 'most actuel'
status.

'Pool' is usable as install resource.

So the 'Pool' catalog contains the (updated) 'Online' catalog. Normally
there is no need to seleced them.

Bye
