Upgrade OES 2 to OES 2015 - EVMS disk

Hello,

I am planning upgrade from OES2 (SLES 10 SP4) to OES 2015 using physical media. In documentation in chapter 5 - Upgarding to OES 2015 section 5.3.7 (Changing the Mount Options Before an Upgrade) are instructions to change mount options for all the partitions to Device ID or Device Path. In my case the deafult mount option is Name Device and options for Device ID and Device Path are not active (i am not able to choose it - it is greyed out). (I am able to choose UUID). So I do nothing and move on to futher instructions.....

In instructions in 5.4.1 - For Servers with EVMS and LVM on the system device (so mine) I have to change some date in configuration file fstab.
I will make this:

/dev/evms/lvm2/system/sys_lx / reiserfs acl,user_xattr 1 1 -> /dev/system/sys_lx / reiserfs acl,user_xattr 1 1
/dev/evms/cciss/c0d0p1 /boot ext3 acl,user_xattr 1 2 -> /dev/cciss/c0d0p1 /boot ext3 acl,user_xattr 1 2
/dev/evms/lvm2/system/swap swap swap defaults 0 0 -> /dev/system/swap swap swap defaults 0 0
/dev/sdb2 /P2000 ext3 defaults 0 0
proc /proc proc defaults 0 0
sysfs /sys sysfs noauto 0 0
debugfs /sys/kernel/debug debugfs noauto 0 0
usbfs /proc/bus/usb usbfs noauto 0 0
devpts /dev/pts devpts mode=0620,gid=5 0 0
DANE /media/nss/DANE nssvol noauto,rw,name=DANE,norename 0 0

and in /boot/grub/menu.lst :

kernel (hd0,0)/vmlinuz-2.6.16.60-0.85.1-smp root=/dev/system/sys_lx vga=0x317 resume=/dev/system/swap splash=silent showopts
-> kernel (hd0,0)/vmlinuz-2.6.16.60-0.85.1-smp root=/dev/system/sys_lx vga=0x317 resume=/dev/system/swap splash=silent showopts

kernel (hd0,0)/vmlinuz-2.6.16.60-0.85.1-smp root=/dev/evms/lvm2/system/sys_lx vga=0x317 showopts ide=nodma apm=off acpi=off noresume edd=off 3
->kernel (hd0,0)/vmlinuz-2.6.16.60-0.85.1-smp root=/dev/system/sys_lx vga=0x317 showopts ide=nodma apm=off acpi=off noresume edd=off 3

Do I think properly that if you have EVMS on the system device(as me) you are not able to execute 5.3.7 instructions and in exchange you have to do 5.4.1 instruction?
If yes, are the changes enough made by me?

In some older posts I found tips that I could change mounting point on UUID(so I woudnt have to make change in fstab and menu.lst)...is it right?

What with the nss disk?

I will be greatfull for any advice 🙂
