Using JAVA 6 to open a Console Screen on NetWare 6.0

Good day,
We have some NetWare 6.5 and 6.0 servers.
After I have upgraded the JAVA SE on my PC from 1.5 to 1.6 this week, I
cannot authenticate to open a Console Screen on a NetWare 6.0 server using
the Remote Manager.

After I clicked the "Console Screens" link in the Remote Manager, the JAVA
"Authentication Required" window popped up. It said that the
Authentication Scheme is Integrated Windows. The authentication will not
succeed no matter how I enter the user name.

Both IE6 and IE 7 is the same. There is no problem using JAVA 1.5 to
access NetWare 6.0/6.5 nor using Java 1.6 to access NetWare 6.5.

Does anyone come accross this problem too? Do you have a suggestion?

Regards.

No, but then again do I not use RConJ. Try AdRem remote console. It is
free

Re: Using JAVA 6 to open a Console Screen on NetWare 6.0

Thanks Anders,
We have some NetWare 6.0 server using AdRem. Actually, we haven't use
RconJ for a very long time. We think that the Java Console Screens is
better than others. 🙂
Anyway, we don't think it is a RConJ problem because we do not need to
load RCONAG6.NLM on the server to use the JAVA Console Screens on Remote
Manager.

Thanks.
