What is SYS_SP?

I've been working with a bad RAID controller which was causing the server
to lock up. During this time I was getting an error show up about the
drive pool sys_sp caused an integrity error and is being dismounted.
It's not the sys volume since I can still see sys fine. Furthermore, I
can't do a "mount sys_sp". What is sys_sp?

Thanks.

probably one of the hidden NSS volumes that NSS keeps in memory for who
knows what - we brought this up to Novell, and they didn't really
explain it other than to say the messages shouldn't show up

Re: What is SYS_SP?

Is this server on a SAN. The only time I have ever seen this is when the
servers were on a SAN and someone inadvertently let 2 servers see the same
sys volume .... it then get renamed as SYS_SP. I don't know how to recover
from this except reinstall, because you can rename the volume back unless
you get eDirectory up and running and eDirectory load from SYS not SYS_SP.
