Workstation Lock after idle

Is there a way to prevent the workstation from locking when it is in idle. The workstation does not have a screensaver on, so it is not windows that is requiring the password protect on resume.

When the user comes back, they have to hit Ctrl-Alt-Del and they have to log in the Novell Client.

Thanks

It *is* windows. The client has no function like this on it's own, and
there are several possibilities like this in windows, a screensaver
isn't the only possibilty. It could be power saving for instance.

Doesn't power save turns off the system and upon 'restart', you
automatically get the login dialog?

Right, though it depends on the config if it really turns the syyetm
off, or if it just goes into suspend or standby. In each case though,
*windows* asks for credentials when it comes back.

Re: Workstation Lock after idle

Right .. I was just getting confused by the users having to C-A-D after
the idle as all I have seen the dialog was automatically displayed.

Checked the power scheme at Display setup. Make Standby to "Never". Goto "Advanced" tab to disable "prompt for password when computer resumes from standby". It work for me.

Re: Workstation Lock after idle

You can run a software to automate mouse movements and send keyboard keys periodically. I have installed it successfully on my pc. Check my blog for an example about the tools.
