Your previous login failed!

I cannot seem to figure this out and have look all over for a solution.

INstalled ifolder on windows 2003. using Active Directory as LDAP.

after installation of version 2.1.3,

I click on the global settings page

then try to login as the user that installed ifolder.

Keeps getting the error

Your previous login failed!

No matter what user I use. Domain administrator, doesntm matter. Same error

Any idea?

Re: Your previous login failed!

Are you the same Tony that posted before. If so, then this would
explain why your clients cannot use ifolder. Clearly is there something
wrong with your LDAP setup.

OK. Anyway, the next step would be an LDAP trace.

ifolder_config.sh script, I can open the management page fine but
immediately hit the "Your Previous Login Failed."

I also get "Global Settings initialization required" when I attempt to
access the other config options..

Re: Your previous login failed!

novells support for ifolder on windows is very very limited. Seems like
nobody knows a thing about ifolder on windows 2003. why would they even make
an executale to run on windows anyway?

Uh, I am not running this on Windows Server 2003! I am using SLES 9 SP1,
which I would expect this to work on.

I know this is late, but I recently found a solution to this which I
haven't seen posted. If nothing else, this might help those searching
the forum down the road....

The culprit may be your user name when logging into AD -- if you
have a user as follows:

FirstName: iFolder
LastName: Admin
LogonName: ifadmin

When logging in to AD using LDAP syntax, you must use 'iFolder Admin'
(NOT 'ifadmin'!), and 'iFolder Admin' is what iFolder must have in the
iFolder Admin list.

And for those who've already installed using 'ifadmin' and therefore
cannot login to the iFolder Admin page to fix the problem, just change
this registry entry...

HKLM\System\CurrentControSet\Services\W3SVC\iFolderServer\iFolderAdminN
ame

...to hold the correct name, then execute IISRESET from a command
prompt -- once the web server has restarted, login to the iFolder Admin
page is possible.
