adding iFolder3 user, how?

Running a Linux OES SP1 with iFolder 3, but can't find any way to add
iFolder users via iManager. Only the initial ifadmin
user is listed via iFolder management tool under iManager. And iFolder
system tab reports that its sync status is successful
with local LDAP server. Via the Linux ConsoleOne 1.3.6, can't see any
attribute under the user property tab.
How is the iFolder's roster user list associated to regular Linux OES NDS
users?
What are the correct steps to add iFolder user?
I have only one server running in this tree.
Please advise.

Thanks,

Re: adding iFolder3 user, how?

Jinic,

Please see the following documentation to help you setup iFolder 3 user
accounts

Re: adding iFolder3 user, how?

Hi All,
I'm in the same boat. I can't figure out how to setup iFolder 3
users. I read over the link that was provided, but i didn't fully
understand it enough to get any user except the admin to work, or even
show up in the user list. Can anyone give me a few pointers on how I
should get started?

Thanks,
Tony

Re: adding iFolder3 user, how?

Basically, you are not adding users to iFolder so much as you are adding
them to eDirectory and then telling iFolder to sync those guys into the
system. In a nutshell...

In iManager, click on the "Novell iFolder 3" task
Click on the system link
authenticate as your iFolder admin user that you setup
click on the ldap tab
click on the modify link
under search DN's add a cn or o that has your users; only the admin user
is provisioned by default
click on ok
click on update and synch now
click on refresh to make certain that it succeeded
Done!

You can now click on the users link under the Novell iFolder 3 task and
search for a user that exists under the cn that you added.

The fact that several people are having trouble with this task tells me
that we probably need to look into simplifying this task for the post
OES sp2 release of iFolder. Hope that we can get your input on that for
the future!

Thanks,

Victor
