can't delete license container.

Hi,

I want to delete an OU but cannot delete the license container. I have decommissioned the server and removed it from the tree. The license and all of the objects have been deleted except for the license container.

When I try to delete it from C1 I get "error= -629 The object being deleted or modified is not a leaf object. the object "Novell + NetWare 6+650" could not be deleted."

When I explore using DSBrowse -a the license seems to exist with the attribute "Deleted" . Here's the attribute list of the object in the license container.

Re: can't delete license container.

The error suggests you are trying to delete a container object that is not empty. This could indicate that you have an eDirectory inconsistency and not all servers have yet seen the deletion of the licensing objects within the container. Is it possible that there are traces of your removed server left in your tree?
I suggest you do an eDirectory health check and obituary troubleshooting. You should probably post your problem in the eDirectory/NetWare forum (eDir: Netware - NOVELL FORUMS) for more troubleshooting.

Re: can't delete license container.

You migth also check out rmLicIRF from NDS-eDirectory and NetWare-related Freeware Downloads from DreamLAN.com to get access to that container.

Re: can't delete license container.

Thanks Andrew and Marcel.

The rmLicIRF.nlm was just the ticket. I was able to delete the "deleted" license and the associated container np using DSBrowse.

Thanks so much. You guys rock!
