cifsProxyUser in the tree

Hi Community,

I can't recall, "cifsProxyUser" are old proxy users, now replaced by  "OESCommonProxy_SERVERNAME" right ?

PS :all my servers are at least in OES2018sp2

Thanks,

Pascal

Well, generally you can use whomever you like (as long as the needed rights are assigned), but using the "OESCommonProxy_SERVERNAME" is the recommended way for quite some time now.

The reason of my question, I did an inventory of users with an "old" last login time, and encounter a series of cn=cifsProxyUser-XXXSERVER objects above 3000 days last login 😞

Hmm. In think unless the server in question has a 3000 days uptime the cifsProxyUser is not in use anymore as 3000 days uptime means NetWare and NetWare doesn't need proxy users...
