iFolder 1.x slow after SP5 or SP8 (re)

Hi! I write it again here!
Netware 5.1 (SP8, DS 8.6.2, root), Netware 6 (SP5, DS 8.6.2).
After applying SP5 to NW 6.0 server seems to iFolder start acting slower.
(Well, just before this I'd apply SP8 on NW 5.1 server.)
Any experiences, ideas? Or is possible to tune iF somehow?
Just right now I can't install iF 2.1.3 (thanks for hint to AndersG!) and
need to tune 1.x, somehow? Probably, I believe, some settings is wrong.
More thanks,
Alar.

When you say "slower", do you mean initial login, sync or both?

Hi again and thanks Anders!
Seems to me - both! And this happen after applying SP's, well, I can't say

Re: iFolder 1.x slow after SP5 or SP8 (re)

I see right now during one synch that progres bar show downloading by 32K
and for some 500 mega it does takes already some 2 hours and 3/4 is done.
It was much faster. Well, sorry, I can't tell exact numbers.
iFolder server util show 1-2%, as usually. On this server is just NDPS
printing and nothing more. Machine is PIV and 768 MB RAM. IDE.
More thanks,
Alar.

OK. I have asked Novell, but the chances of it getting looked at are
slim.

How many users are we talking about? Also:

"Yes. Ask him if he also updated the TCP/IP modules to post-SP5 ftf
versions. If yes, have him undo that change, and use the stock-SP5
stack."

Re: iFolder 1.x slow after SP5 or SP8 (re)

Thanks!
Just 40 users (mostly faculty members, also few top-students) and some of
those do not use iF, just have a account there. Not "a lot", I think, very
few users.
I did apply SP5, especially didn't nothing more after that.
TCPIP.nlm is as "Version 6.10.06 02. june 2004. a.".

OK. Out of curiosity: What kind of NIC/DRIVER? Is the volume hosting
iFolder data TFS or NSS. Have you tried a packet trace of iFolder
communication?

(1) Intel(R) 8255x-based Network Connection, CE100B.LAN (8.06 Feb 5, 2004).
(2) NSS.
(3) No. I never tried that.

Re: iFolder 1.x slow after SP5 or SP8 (re)

Thanks!
Any hints doing this?! Have Netware some tools or You mean something like
LanHound etc?
Btw. I don't see any performance issues with printing (based on same
machine) and file sharing. I forget to mention that.
More thanks, Alar.
