Re: iFolder 3.7 on openSUSE 11.1

I think its quiet difficult to install iFolder on openSUSE 11.1. iFolder will not work with mono 2.0. I think on openSUSE11.1, by default it is mono 2.0 available which makes iFolder running on that difficult.......

I tried the same method, and I got iFolder3 to run...but received the following error back from the iFolder server when I attempted to connect with a new account...

Msg logging to old server
Stack at System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapHttpClientProtocol.ReceiveResponse (System.Net.WebResponse response, System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapClientMessage message, System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapExtension[] extensions) [0x00000]
at System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapHttpClientProtocol.Invoke (System.String method_name, System.Object[] parameters) [0x00000]
at SimiasWebService.ConnectToDomain (System.String UserName, System.String Password, System.String Host) [0x00000]

at Novell.iFolder.Controller.DomainController.AddDomain (System.String host, System.String username, System.String password, Boolean bSavePassword, Boolean bSetAsDefault) [0x00000]

It seems not to work :((((

any problems...

Hi

Anyone installed the iFolder 3.7 client on openSUSE 11.1?

ifolder3-3.7.1.8322.1-1.i586.rpm

error: Failed dependencies:

hi follow this step to install ifolder

Step 1: If you already tried to install iFolder or Simias, uninstall them

Step 2: Uninstall log4net using YaST or do an " rpm -e log4net " (With ifolder and simias removed, you should not get any dependancy errors)

Step 3: Install older log4net version using YaST or with a " rpm -i log4net-1.2.9-104.noarch.rpm"

Step 4: Install simais with " rpm -ivh simias-1.8.0.8322.1-0.3.i586.rpm"

Step 5: Install ifolder client with " rpm -Uvh --nodeps ifolder3-3.7.1.8322.1-1.i586.rpm " Note the --nodeps option

Step 6: Edit the file /usr/bin/ifolder and change the first uncommneted line to this: The new part is in Bold test.
export MONO_PATH=/opt/novell/ifolder3/lib:/opt/novell/ifolder3/lib/simias/web/bin:/usr/lib:/usr/lib/mono/gtk-sharp-2.0:$MONO_PATH

Re: iFolder 3.7 on openSUSE 11.1

The iFolder client is now in the OpenSuse update repos, so you can probably just install it through Yast without all the additional hoopla and other gyrations.
