iFolder won't log in.

Hi!

I've been reading through all of the documents available here and through google regarding the "Your session has been closed. Please log in." Issue with iFolder3.

I'm running SLES 10 sp1, with OES2.

As far as I can tell I have followed the directions available in the OES setup guide.

Other than the Flaim dll thing, does anyone have any other ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Re: iFolder won't log in.

Hi,

Your broplem should be missing installation step or configuration problems. If you still unsolved your problem please kindly find my instruction.

First, you better install you SUSE Enterprise Linux Server Sp2 by choosing include addon cd with OES2.

Choose to install eDirrectory during your installation process and keep to install iFolder Later (mean after successfully configuring eDirrectory).

Note. ifolder must be installed after eDirectory install and configure correctly and successfully.

Thanks,

Re: iFolder won't log in.

Is wwwrun a local user or LUM user ?
It needs to be a LUM user to access NSS.
Check the id of wwwrun with id wwwrun and check it matches the LUM
enabled wwwrun.

Also, chmod makes no difference on NSS filesystems you need to set
wwwrun as a trustee either using the novell client on a PC or the
rights command.

Re: iFolder won't log in.

Since you are running the files from a nss drive that usually have eDir rights but the program is running as a local linux user you need to link them. To assign the rights properly do the following. This information fan be found on Home - iFolder.

As the root user on your OES machine, run the rights utility that gets installed as part of the NSS installation package. For example, if your NSS volume is set to /media/nss/NSSVOL and you have the cn=wwwrun user in the o=main context of the novell_tree directory tree, you would run the following command:

rights -f /media/nss/NSSVOL -r rwfcem trustee wwwrun.main.novell_tree

This will give read, write, file scan, create, erase and modify rights to the NSSVOL/ directory to the wwwrun user. Test this out by su'ing to wwwrun and attempting to create a directory in the NSS volume space. If you are successful, then you can su back to root and go on to the next step. If not, then re-run the rights utility until you are successful.

See the help on the rights utility for more information.

Re: iFolder won't log in.

If you receive the "access to path " is denied" error when trying to connect to an iFolder server via iManager this solution will work. Ensure you LUM enable the wwwrun user and run the rights command before you run the iFolder configuration process in YaST.
