ifolder 2.0 problem

I keep getting 'Your previous login failed! Please enter your
username and
password' when i try to log in to any part of iFolder.
I put O=Servers in the ldap context just to see if i could at least
log in
as admin but even that isnt working.
The LDAP server itself is working fine, i can find all the users with
an
ldap browser.
I've got ifolder running on netware6 sp2.
Does anyone know what might be wrong here and how to get it to work?

Are iFolder and LDAP on the same server?

IFolder simple troubleshooting steps:
1. iFolder 2.x needs eDirectory 8.6.2 or better for LDAP. It will not
work
with NW 5.1 DS 8.82 for example.
2. Check that the admin name in the iFolder server config file is
correct
3. Use the clear-text LDAP port for troubleshooting
4. Turn on LDAP tracing on the LDAP Server/Group Object
5. LOAD DSTRACE. Turn off everything and turn on LDAP, then try to log
in.

Arjan,

Spend a night last week troubleshooting the login... Is your context
name in
NDS also written as 'Servers', seems to be case sensetive.

Re: iFolder 2.0 problem

I think my problem is close to yours.

Novell server, NW5.1, SP5, iFolder 2.0

iFolder installed fine. loaded fine. Users can connect to the user
page and download the iFolder client. The admin is able to connect to the
iFolder Management Console fine. BUT, when asked to authenticate I can
not get past the "Your previous login failed!" statement.

I know that ldap is connected because I could see the server lose connection when the master LDAP went down and re-connect when it came
back online.

At first I did not have a replica on the server the iFolder service
was on and the container the users were in. I put a replica on the server and
it did not rectify the problem. Same error.

The problem seams as though I am typing in the wrong user name or password. but I have tried every possible combination to the user name
and I verified the password is correct. I am simply using a user admin on
the same container the server is on. Admin and a user named Kelley is
listed in http_additions_nw.conf as the

"iFolderAdminName admin;Kelley"

Thanks for you help.
