ifolder setup question

I am running the simias-server-setup for ifolder 3.8 on a sles 10.3 oes2.2 server. I've put in the LDAP admin (edir admin), but I'm not sure what I should be putting in for "system admin". Should I put in the root user and pw, or create a new user?

Thanks.

Re: ifolder setup question

You may want to refer http://www.novell.com/documentation/ifolder3/ifolder38_admin/data/bk60n10.html for clarity.

LDAP admin is the one that is used to connect to LDAP and create required objects, you can use eDir admin is the form cn=admin,o=acme. System admin will the iFolder Admin, could be any eDir user, need to provide in the format cn=admin,o=acme, you could use same ldap admin for iFolder admin task too.

Re: ifolder setup question

Thanks. I got it set up and could get into the web admin page. I noticed that I had managed to screw up the location of the default data store by creating it locally. I went into the admin page and added the one I wanted (nss volume). Is there a way to make that the default and get rid of the one I don't want?

Also, I can't log in through my client. I'm looking through logs now.

Re: ifolder setup question

Good to know you got your setup right. You need to check the doc in clustering section to know how to provide rights, wwwrun user needs rights over the nss path which is made as datastore path.
