iprint_nss_relocation script for iprint cluster

Jump to solution

Hi All,

Just putting out there, have OES18-SP2 and applied the latest patches (i.e Update 2 - OES 2018 SP2 & Update 2.1 - OES 2018 SP2 for NCP - Mandatory).

Running iprint on NSS cluster volume and running the iprint_nss_relocate script fails with following error;

adding iprint.Org.Mytree_tree as trustee to /media/nss/IPRINT/etc/opt/novell/iprint : Attempt 1 : failed.
Error in adding the trustee: Error: -1. NITERR_UNKNOWN_ERROR.
Bad user name.

Before the update the script did work.

I see what the issue is.

before update the below script worked:

./iprint_nss_relocate -a cn=admin,o=MYORG-n /media/nss/IPRINT -c o=MYORG,t=MYTREE_tree -w o=MYORG,t=MYTREE_tree -l cluster

I removed the _tree from context in the FDN of t=MYTREE_tree and the script worked.

Not sure why the original command worked before the update?

it runs fine on my server with the same patch level.

Is you NSS volume Ad enable?

Can you post the whole iprint_nss_relocate.log file?

After the patch update I received 403 error accessing iprint web page, so I followed TID:7006561.

Cause 1: in the document was true so I corrected the file. Then ran the script.

Attached is the whole iprint_nss_relocate.log and we do not have the AD-enabled on this volume.

There is a fix for the rights command on latest iprint patches that it may change the way rights are assigned hence causing the change in behavior:

Defect 970437 - rights utility should not require tree name
