iprint via a router

I have an iPrint Printer URI of ipp://192.168.2.225/ipp/Colour_Laser
which works great internally.

I wish to now open it up to the internet via a router. I thought
forwarding port 631 to the internal machine would work but it doesn't.

http://secure.magicwilly.info:631/ipp/Colour_Laser shows me the status
but it cannot be installed.

Is what I want possible?

Re: iprint via a router

What you have to do is:

1) Make sure iPrint uses a DNS name and not an IP address for the URLs.
For this, check the Manager's properties in iManager and if necessary,
enter a DNS name.

2) Make sure the same DNS name is used for internal and external access.
E.g. your DNS configuration should be such that users inside your network
should get the IP address when they use the server's DNS, while external
users should get the external IP address.
