is it necessary to load tomcat4 into netware 6.5sp6?

I have novell 6.5sp6 and I 'd like to load only the services that are needed.
So How can not load Quickfinder ?
I dont 't know if it is necessary.

I have seen that Quickfinder is run by tomcat4.ncf.

SO what 's tomcat necessary for ?
CAN I don't load?

this is a piece of my autoexec.ncf :

#Apache2 is now the admin server
ADMSRVUP
# tc4admin begin
SEARCH ADD SYS:/tomcat/4/bin
tcadmup.ncf
# tc4admin end
# tomcat4 begin
sys:/tomcat/4/bin/tomcat4.ncf
# tomcat4 end

Please can I insert the REM command?

thanks for all
Monica

Re: is it necessary to load tomcat4 into netware 6.5sp6?

If you do not want QuickFinder to load. You need to edit the
sys:\apache2\conf\httpd.conf file. This is where quickFinder gets loaded by
Apache. Go to the very last section of the httpd.conf file, you will see an
include statement that that will load the QuickFinder service. It will look
like include "sys:/qfsearch/web-inf/qfsrchapache.conf.". Put a "#" in front
of it and reboot your server or just stop apache and tomcat then restart
them.

Re: is it necessary to load tomcat4 into netware 6.5sp6?

Ok, thanks!

But must I put "REM" also in front of tcadmup.ncf and
sys:/tomcat/4/bin/tomcat.ncf ?

is Tomcat required for some services of netware?
which are these services?

thanks
