macOS, Kanaka, and Password Requirements?
It looks like most of the Kanaka questions are turning up in this forum, so here goes: We are an all Mac school district, currently using Kanaka to authenticate our Macs to our eDirectory backend. The big question high admin keep asking is whether we can force password expiration and complexity using Kanaka.
So, if we configure those password related items within eDirectory, is there a way to get Kanaka to prompt about a password expiring soon and force certain new password complexity rules?
I haven't seen anything regarding this recently, so I am hoping that it is possible.
Thank you, Tim

if all the bits are in place, you would start with the Universal Password part of eDir and set policies in there. unless someone has some actual experience (if so please pop in) you could test with just a few users to see if the expiry flows through to the devices for new password, or if at least the complexity enforcement works.
