multipath -r on a server with NSS Volumes mounted

Environment:
IBM Bladecente/ QL HBA's
IBM5300 SAN
OES11 patched current
4 cluster nodes, 11 cluster resources...

Issue:
As documented elsewhere in this forum, issue with expanding volumes:

SAN admin expands volume
in netware world, "refresh devices" shows new space, expand pool, and done

In linux world. new size does not show unless you reboot OR run "multipath -r"

Question, on a node with resources mounted, can you run "multipath -r" without effecting the live volumes OR do you have to migrate all the resources to another node first?

thanks in advance!

Re: multipath -r on a server with NSS Volumes mounted

Okay, so this is clustering AND multipathing. The Novell docs here will help you, but unfortunately yes, (until someone in Linux rewrites the mpio modules) you will have to stop multipathing on EACH node that has access to the disk (which basically means you'll be migrating the resources to other servers). OR rebooting the nodes one at at time. I don't think you need to do this in MS Windows, but I could be wrong.
