nlmlib abend

I searched the forum for help on this abend. Most of them dealt w/netware
5 and we're on 6.5. Tid 10094319 says to have ncp.nlm from aug 23, 2004
or newer. Ours is version 5.6.1 Feb 8, 2006. Could you let me know what
can be done for this abend.

thanks
Zaida

Re: nlmlib abend

Abend 0 means this was an address space that died, so a GW problem.
Check for GWENN5 and other GW updates, ask over in the GW forums if you
need help with that.

An "address space" is a logical partitioning of the computer, kinda like "user mode" in unix/linux circles, and also vaguely resembling (in a primitive sense) the newer idea of virtual machines.

It is supposed to allow certain applications to run into errors without compromising the whole server.

Your Groupwise stuff is one such application. So when it croaked, other stuff on the same server should have been okay.

Re: nlmlib abend

there's no way of finding out which address space died right?

Re: nlmlib abend

You could check to see if there are any later patches, but I see you've
already posted over in the Groupwise forums - so you'd probably get better
advice over there

Cheers Dave
