nw65sp8 beastree errors

I am having an intermittant problem with this error "system data error
20012(beastree.c[510]). This happened under 65sp7 also. The last time I got
Novell involved but I had lost 50mb of data during the repair process. It is
only happening on a particular volume. There are six volumes on the SAN
including SYS. Server boots from SAN. This SAN supports a lot of servers
with no currnet issues. It is my only Netware server on this SAN. Qlogic
card using the QL2x00.ham 2/26/08. EDir 8.8sp4 Just being used for a file
and print server. Also ZFD 7.xx.

Re: nw65sp8 beastree errors

The one and only tool provided by Novell is NSS rebuild. If you've already done that since, say, SP5 then there is almost certainly some underlying hardware or SAN problem causing it.

Re: nw65sp8 beastree errors

What version of NW and what SP is it? What is the volume you are having problems with.
