"Connection with server broken"

iFolder 2.1
Windows 2000 Server with IIS5
eDirectory 8.7

Can access the web management console via the local and remote
network.
Can login to iFolder via windows client on the local network.
Getting "Connection with server broken" when trying to login with windows client from a remote network (Internet location).

Did what I could to apply fix suggested in http://support.novell.com/cgi-bin/search/searchtid.cgi?/10084045.htm
no change.

Re: "Connection with server broken"

I had similar issues. Check the registry HKLM/Sofware/Novell/Ifolder
(or
some such....you'll find it)

You'll probably want to delete all references to ifolder servers and
re-run
the client.

Worked for me.

NetDrive shows "Downloading"

Can anyone tell me please why NetDrive would display that it is
downloadinga file when NetDrive should be accessing files on a server without =downloading them?

Each time a user double-clicks on an MS-Access db it starts
downloading files (where I do not know) before opening the application.

Any incite would be appreciated.

Re: NetDrive shows "Downloading"

Netdrive simply makes a connection (via ifolder, ftp or webdav) act
like a mapped drive letter. I think your PC itself is automatically opening files when you select them. In order to open them, they must

first be 'downloaded'.
