"Document already open" message?

Whenever I try to open a document through iFolder
home on a remote location, I get (depending on the
program) a message indicating the document is
already open elsewhere, but it is not.

For example, I update an Excel doc on one machine
on the LAN, save it and close Excel. I then log in
to iFOlder through a dial up and it immediately
downloads the updated file. The log says sych is
complete.

I open iFolder through the tray icon and
double-click on a document. It loads, showing the
changes, then I get a message saying (for
example):

"A document with the name <file name> is already
open. You cannot open two documents with the same
name, even if they are in different folders. ... "

It actually doesn't matter what file I chose, I
get the same message.

Any ideas about what is going on here?
