time on workstation

I am using Novell client 4.90. Can someone please tell me how the
workstation time is set? The workstation is a XP workstation in a windows
domain. I understand that XP gets its time from a domain controller but how
does the novell client come into play?

Re: time on workstation

Bad Beagle,

"Windows 2000 and XP both ignore the SET_TIME script command regardless
of the client property setting Set Station Time=On|Off and update the
time/date to the Netware Server Time/Date at Gina Login only. Subsequent
script executions do not make any difference as the script command seems
to be ignored."...

The workstation date and time could not be set

There was discussion on said syncing last week...

Re: time on workstation

The user needs to have sufficient rights to change the time (ie
Administrators or Power Users).

Add the user or the Users group to:
Security Settings -> Local Policies -> User Rights Assignment -> Change
the system time

The time will be updated when logging in.
