tricks to use older SCMT / Migration Wizard with OES
If you have problems with OES migtools, or otherwise want to try the
older tools, here is one trick to bypass the version checks - which
would normally end the process as current versions are too new for the
old tools;
When the SCMT wizard does the pre-checks, it creates
\\sys\scu\installedsmsversion.txt file.
Delete that file on the background, then the wizard just says that it
cannot check versions and allows you to continue with process.
