uninstall cluster services from NW6.0

external storage disk is bad and i need to uninstall and reinstall cluster
in NW60SP5.

I found TID 10015339, is there anything else i should do before
reinstallting it?

To reinstall i should use the NW60SP5 overlay CD? Are there any other
patches i need to do after?

thanx

That all looks good. Yes reinstall using the overlay CD
that way you wont have to reapply the Service Pack after the
NCS install has finished.

I can't remember off the top of my head if there were any post SP5 patches
specific for NCS. You can easily check yourself by looking at the
appropriate category at support.novell.com/filefinder

Re: uninstall cluster services from NW6.0

you'll want the new server.exe and nss patches but those are the only
real "gotta have it" patches. there aren't any clustering-specific
patches out (yet)...

Re: uninstall cluster services from NW6.0

He's talking about 6.0, not 6.5 ... also, there is a 6.5 clustering
patch: nwcs18pt2.exe ...

Mr Beels:

did you note he said 6.0 - is there a new server.exe for 6.0 or were you
thinking 6.5?

Re: uninstall cluster services from NW6.0

disregard my other post.

for 6.0, about the only things i install post-SP5 are the newer java,
tcpip, slp and tsaupxx for released patches and for beta: clib, nwlib,
winsock, filesys, httpstk and nile.

if the server is an iPrint or NFS or running some other specialized
service, then those would be updated as required but the above are the
"apply to all" set...
