Management Pack upgrade should not require the user to re-enter parameter values

When upgrading a management pack, there is a step to update the version of the discovery aspect assigned to the node.  The user is typically required to re-enter the parameters.  One specific example is the Azure MP.  It has an instance parameter (subscription ID) and 3 mandatory dependent parameters.  Consider if you have, say, 20 subscriptions in a single assignment.  That means re-entering 20 x 4 = 80 parameter values each time you upgrade.  If there are additional assignments (ie, multiple proxy nodes), then multiply again.  Eg, 5 proxy nodes means 400 parameter values.  Updating an existing assignment as a result of an MP upgrade should not require the user to re-enter the parameter values.

This is a Clear ME TOO   We just recently upgraded our Azure Management Pack, and found that we had to re-enter our Tenant info, Client ID and Key, and Each of the subscriptions!  Thank Goodness we have only started rolling this out, and were only trying to look at 4 of the 70+ Subscriptions we have!

Dev Team Please PLEASE keep administrative simplicity and time in your mind when you are developing these tools and packages!  Your products are being used by Enterprise Corporations, not by small shops.  The time you spend on the development end can save Thousands of customer hours!  We really need that time here!  Please error on the side of helping us save time, over getting something on the rollout schedule!

This is a MUST, if we want customers to upgrade to latest versions of our products and implement more, we MUST make it easy for them.

Thanks for your consideration.

I am totally with you. We are not using the MP in reference but other MP and situation is same there as well. for this reason we do not even upgrade our MP as all the settings will be overwritten and then chaos.
