OBM 2020.05 deployment in Azure - latest SQL version support

0 Votes

Hi

I have a requriement to deploy OBM 2020.05 in Azure using Azure SQL Managed instance as the Database . The Azure Database and Azure Managed instance uses the latest SQL versions (2019).

currently MF OBM DB supports SQL 2017 .It would great to have the support included for the latest version of SQLServer and the Azure SQL Database . Accordingly the Guides need to be updated

What is the roadmap for OBM to support latest SQL version ?

Hi,

OBM 2020.05 and OBM 2020.10 will support SQL Server 2019. SUMA will be updated in a few days.

Thanks & Regards,

Mamta

Just an additional comment - we do not plan to certify the Azure PaaS instance but as long as it works equivalent to an on-premise DB deployment, it should work fine.

We support SQL server 2019 DB with OBM 2020.05 and later releases. But please note that we do not support Azure DB PaaS unless its equivalent to the on-prem SQL server DB. If the ask is specifically for Azure DB PaaS, please raise a separate IdeaX entry.

Thanks & Regards,

Mamta
