OBM Bind web server on dedicated IP address

OBM Bind web server on dedicated IP address

OBM 2018.11

For security reasons, we need to bind the OBM web server (httpd) to a dedicated IP address.

Per default, the OBM server is configured to listen on port 443 on all IP addresses, see:

/opt/HP/BSM/WebServer/conf/extra/httpd-ssl.conf

It is possible to change this file so that the web server listens on one IP address only. But this gets overwritten after a full OBM restart.

The request is to have an option to change this permanently.

Hi Mamta,

I've installed OBM 2019.11 and the error still persists. I've configured the Webserver for a specific IP address:

Listen 123.456.123.456:443

After restart of OBM the file says:

Listen 443

Do I need to configure it anywhere else?

best regards

Please double check if you perform your changes to the files in the correct path:

Correct path is: <OBM Installation>\newconfig\WebServer\conf\ respectively \newconfig\WebServer\conf\extra for SSL
