OBM node discovery - Have relation between IP address and NIC

OBM 2018.11 with OA 12.10 and Sys_SystemDiscovery policy

Among a lot of useful information, also the IP address and interface information (MAC) are discovered and added to the RTSM for a node. But there is no relation between IP address and MAC.

So it is not possible to see which IP is hosted on which interface although this is very useful information.

The request is to discover the IP addresses and on which interfaces they are hosted on.

Hi,

From monitoring perspective, we don't see the need for this relationship. What is the use case behind your request? An example will help.

1) a relation between the network topology  by MAC and the IP  used by a running software / operations agent   will allow a cause-symptom correlation

2) interfaces and  IP is discovered anyway ,  the containment relation is prepared in the model. therefore: why not ?
