Terminate a downtime through downtime web service

Downtimes can be read (GET), created (POST), modified (PUT), deleted (DELETE) via the downtime web service.

The UI provides the ability to terminate a downtime which modifies the end time to the actual time/minute (also the start time if it has not yet been started). Status is then completed and duration can be 0, except the downtime was started already.

In order to complete a downtime over the web service, rather than delete, you can modify it by changing start and end time.

PUT on <obm>/topaz/bsmservices/customers/1/downtimes/DT_ID
Body: Take what you read (GET) and change start/end.

Using the same start and end time increases the end time by one minute. A zero minute downtime is not possible in contrast to terminating a downtime in the UI.

Overall, the whole procedure is quite complicated.

The request is to have a method to terminate a downtime through the web service by just specifying the downtime ID.

Hello @docjo , don't know if you have already found a solution for the problem you mentioned.

In case don't found a solution yet, I want to comment that we had the same need that you explained:  to be able to end active downtimes (not delete), and it seems that we have found a solution.

In our case, what we are doing to see the properties of a downtime we perform a:

GET <obm>/topaz/ws/downtime_list/DT_ID

and later to terminate it we perform:

PUT <obm>/topaz/ws/downtime_list/terminate/DT_ID

Hope it helps and solves your problem.
