(OBR) support tip: Default User for Operations Bridge Reporter Vertica DataBase

Operations Bridge Reporter (OBR) postinstallation steps will guide you on the process of creating the Vertica and Postgres Schemas. For postgres schema, "postgres" and "pmdb_admin" users are grayed out so it is just a matter of entering the desired password.

For Vertica DB schema creation there is no default user, so text field is available to type the user. OBR configuration guide does not mention an specific user.

Here is important to know that OBR doesn't enforce an specific user so any user name can be typed,  a script on the background will take of creating this new user. However, is important to mention that Vertica documention mentions "dbadmin" as the default user.

In case of Remote Vertica DB, CreateVerticaDatabase.sh has to be executed before proceeding with postinstall steps in OBR Administration console. The Syntax for the command:

$PMDB_HOME/bin/CreateVerticaDatabase.sh <vertica_user> <password> <data_file_location> <catalog_file_location>

Since VerticaDatabase is already created, the user and password which will be entered in postinstall steps of Admin Console are those which were used with CreateVerticaDatabase.sh script
