upgraded OMI content packs in OBR not updating

We recently upgraded OMI (OBM) to version 10.63

Now none of the content pack components seem to be updating though we are collecting data as the archive folder is growing

we are using obr 10.30

Is there something we should have done on OBR or OMI to make this work

We are able to connect to the OMI server management database and operations database if that has any bearing on this ?

Re: upgraded OMI content packs in OBR not updating

Can you be more specific on what is the issue/symptom you are seeing?

Which archive folder are you referring to? $PMDB_HOME/stage/archive? If yes, then its at least a confirmation that all your collections are working fine. However, if you files in archive folder older than 3 days (default) then that means that the aging utility is not cleaning it up for some reason. But that shouldn't have any bearing on rest of the data processing (provided you still have enough free disk space).

Other potential issue could be OMi 10.63 is now using https by default (it was http by default on earlier versions). And if so, then you need to follow additional steps on the OBR side to enable it to collect from OMi in https.

Re: upgraded OMI content packs in OBR not updating

Hi

Yes that is correct we are collecting the data ok it is not being loaded into the database and so is not showing up in reports

The file I uploaded shows the content health status and shows last updated 22/5/2018 the day that we upgraded OMI to 10.63

We already have setup OBR to collect using https from the OMI server and that is all working ok

We have just restart the streams in postgres so are now waiting for next upload run

Re: upgraded OMI content packs in OBR not updating

Updating OMi (OBM) Management Packs should have no impact on OBR (with the possible exception of Cloud Optimizer/vPV MP).

If by the 'archive' folder you mean {PMDB_HOME}/stage/archive - this is normal. That folder keeps data for 2 days in case of disaster. If it is filling with CSVs this means data is being processed (for at least some of the installed content).

Check the OBR Admin UI to see if any streams are in error, check the status of the OMi data source.

You can check: topology.log (for topology collection from OMi/RTSM), dbcollector.log for extraction from the Operations database etc. BSMRApp.log for other/general errors.

Be sure that you have configured Flink correctly as per the Performance, Sizing and Tuning Guide and that Flink is running: $PMDB_HOME/../Flink/bin/flink list ... should return the OBR job as RUNNING.

Also see my post on the DATETIME and Shift_Fact tables where there is a known issue of data not loading.

If you are unable to identify any issues, the reports are empty and you have checked your data sources contain the required data you should raise a case with our team for analysis.
